Our successful manufacturing company based in Edinburgh is now part of a group of companies with sites across the UK. Due to their recent acquisition, they are investing significantly in their Edinburgh operation and have ambitious plans as a result. As part of the plans, they are looking to hire a quality manager to support the business as it goes through a period of change and the successful hire will be someone that can see beyond quality and someone that can take a holistic approach with what is happening across the organisation and the impact decisions have on other areas of the business.
Responsibilities to include:
- Lead the implementation of Q Pulse and manage organisations quality systems.
- Monitoring the ongoing performance and outputs of the quality process.
- Regularly researching the marketplace and competition to keep up to date with industry developments.
- Undertaking internal quality audits.
- Drive corrective actions.
- Support and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support and develop quality engineer to advance their own career.
- Ensure that all suppliers meet the quality requirements of the company.
There is a lot happening which will make the role interesting, challenging and hopefully exciting! The company has a long and rich history with a fantastic reputation however it is effectively in ‘start up’ mode due to the changes, acquisition, and various projects on the go.
The business is looking for a quality leader with the energy and drive to work across the multiple departments and build relationships across all areas of the business. The role is hybrid ( 3 days in office and 2 days at home).
