In this crucial role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our production process, ensuring we deliver high-quality products on time and within budget. You will lead teams across a 24/7 operation, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Safety & Quality: Foster a culture of safety by enforcing procedures, conducting audits, and leading safety initiatives.
- Production Planning & Scheduling: Translate sales forecasts into actionable production plans, optimizing resource allocation and ensuring on-time delivery.
- Performance Management: Drive productivity improvement initiatives, monitor key metrics, and implement corrective actions to maximize efficiency.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of 6 shift leaders, providing coaching, motivation, and performance feedback.
- Machine Uptime: Implement preventative maintenance routines and troubleshoot equipment issues to maximize machine availability.
- Communication & Collaboration: Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams, effectively communicate production priorities, and keep stakeholders informed.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements through data analysis and lean manufacturing principles, using formal root cause and corrective action tools.
Experience:
- Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing planning and work scheduling to ensure efficient production processes and timely delivery of products.
- Solid understanding of safety principles and best practices.
- Proven record of achieving production targets, managing budgets, and driving efficiency.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Excellent communication and people skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders within a small team.
- Data-driven approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- ERP experience with material transactions and manufacturing processing – Sage, Oracle, or SAP.
- Proficient in Office 365 tools, presentation creation, and data analysis.
- Experience working within a 24/7 shift environment preferred.
