We’re partnering with a well-established Scottish manufacturer looking to appoint a Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager to drive a positive safety culture and environmental excellence across its operations. For the right candidate, there is the opportunity to grow into a broader HSEQ leadership role, with support to take ownership of Quality systems over time.
This is a great fit for an experienced HSE professional who wants to play a strategic role in a multi-site business while building on their existing skill set. You’ll be working closely with senior stakeholders and influencing real change on the ground — with the autonomy to shape how things are done.
What You’ll Be Doing:
-
Lead on all HSE policy, procedure and compliance activities in line with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
-
Champion a culture of safety across departments through active engagement, risk assessments, training, and behavioural initiatives
-
Conduct audits and ensure robust investigation of incidents and near misses, with clear actions and root cause analysis
-
Drive environmental best practices and lead reporting on sustainability and carbon performance
-
Work alongside department leads to integrate HSE into daily routines
-
For the right candidate, support and develop Quality practices aligned to ISO 9001, with scope to evolve into full HSEQ leadership
About You:
-
NEBOSH-qualified with a solid background in HSE management (ideally within a manufacturing, engineering or industrial setting)
-
Experience working within ISO-accredited environments
-
A confident communicator able to influence, mentor and engage across all levels
-
Comfortable leading change and implementing practical improvements
-
An interest or experience in quality management is a plus – but not essential
-
Able to travel to other sites as required
